Paper Wishes Sponsor......

I have chosen this card for the Digital - Ink Co challenge who are being sponsored by one of my very favourite companies PAPER WISHES.

The challenge this week entitled “Pets & Baby Birthdays” is to create a card, tag, layout or item with either a pet or baby birthday theme containing the 4 primary colours, red, blue, yellow, green and one neutral colour.
It is my grandsons birthday next month so I thought that this card was very appropriate.
The green card is from Paperwishes Kids cardstock, the image is a Jolly Nation stamp.  I have used Copics to colour the baby and the happy birthday which was cut using my cricut machine.

I also think is just right for the challenge over at Paper Cutz Challenge which is to make a masculine card.

As I used copics to colour the stamp I also entered it into the Copic Challenge as tho colours to be used were E00 E33 and R02 for the flesh tones.

One for Two!!!

I enjoyed making this card for the challenge over at C.R.A.F.T which was to make a card using the colour red. I am also using the same card for the challenge over at Papercutz which was to use a farm animal.

I used a digi stamp from Sew Many Cards because I love Angela's images and the donkey was just right for the card I had in mind.
I have used copics ciao markers to colour the donkey and the wording which I made on my cricut machine,  the novelty still has not worn off, I don't think it will - I loooove my cricut machine.

Passing on the Purple Hat

I found this on Linda's web site here and could not resist passing it on.

In honour of women's history month and in memory of Erma Bombeck who wrote this after she found out she was dying from cancer.

IF I HAD MY LIFE TO LIVE OVER - by Erma Bombeck
I would have gone to bed when I was sick instead of pretending the earth would go into a holding pattern if I weren't there for the day.
I would have burned the pink candle sculpted like a rose before it melted in storage.
I would have talked less and listened more.
I would have invited friends over to dinner even if the carpet was stained, or the sofa faded.
I would have eaten the popcorn in the 'good' living room and worried much less about the dirt when someone wanted to light a fire in the fireplace.
I would have taken the time to listen to my grandfather ramble about his youth.
I would never have insisted the car windows be rolled up on a summer day because my hair had just been teased and sprayed.
I would have sat on the lawn with my grass stains.
I would have cried and laughed less while watching television and more while watching life.
I would never have bought anything just because it was practical, wouldn't show soil, or was guaranteed to last a lifetime.
Instead of wishing away nine months of pregnancy, I'd have cherished every moment and realized that the wonderment growing inside me was the only chance in life to assist God in a miracle..
When my kids kissed me impetuously, I would never have said, 'Later... Now go get washed up for dinner.' There would have been more 'I love you's' More 'I'm sorry's.'

But mostly, given another shot at life, I would seize every minute.look at it and really see it . live it and never give it back. STOP SWEATING THE SMALL STUFF!

Don't worry about who doesn't like you, who has more, or who's doing what
Instead, let's cherish the relationships we have with those who do love us...

Sew Many Cards Challenge

Although no longer a member of the Sew Many Cards   design team I am still taking part in the challenges because I love the images that Angela produces and I am sure you like them too.

Here is my card for this weeks challenge which was a colour challenge PURPLE, WHITE and a SPLASH OF BLACK!
I used the image of Miki because I just adore him and used copic ciao to colour him. The words were made on my cricut machine using a font off my computer and coloured with the purple copics to match the heart.

FAT PAGES

I am also a member of the Joanna Sheen Forum and love the Fat Page Swaps. For any of you who don't know what a Fat page is:
A fat page just refers to a 4" square piece of strong card (cereal box is good) which you decorate so that it can be bound together, if you wish, to form a book or album.
To enable the pages to be bound you do not decorate the front left hand side margin but instead allow 0.5" of blank space for the binding.

I am involved in two swaps Teddy Bears and Any Three Colours.
The Trimcraft Forum also has Fat Page Swaps and the one I am involved in takes over a year to complete and is An Animal Alphabet. For January we have to complete A B and C. Each page must have the actual letter on it and also the name of the animal.

Swaps

As promised I have photographed the projects I have been working on, I hope you like them.

This card I made for the January Paper Wishes Swap. It had to be made mainly using PaperWishes products and could not use the colour Blue.
I am into different folds at the moment so had great fun making this card.

My next project was also for PaperWishes, it is the January ATC swap.

Words of Wisdom

Sorry!!!!

Well my New Year resolution has gone out of the window already and the Cricut is to blame. I had intended keeping my blog upto date and post everyday the projects completed but I have been so busy playing I have not had time to photograph and upload them.
At the moment I have the grandchildren and they are playing with granddad to give me two minutes to write this post, I will work on it tonight and upload the projects so far.

Happy New Year

I would just like to wish everyone who visits my blog a very Happy New Year. It is going to be busy and I have made the resolution to try new techniques. I can start with the cricut that I was given at Christmas.
It has been on my wish list for over a year and finally I have one!!!! Yay.
